Chelsea Truck Company Vanguard Edition – Redefining the Iconic Defender

Unveiled at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, the Chelsea Truck Company Vanguard edition is the ultimate reinterpretation of the classic Land Rover Defender. Conceived by Afzal Kahn and his design team, every aspect of this extraordinary vehicle has been reimagined from the ground up, blending iconic British style with military-inspired ruggedness.

The Vanguard edition exemplifies the CTC philosophy: to enhance the Defender’s original design, elevating its aesthetics, performance, and intrinsic value. With a commanding stance measuring 3990mm in length, 2090mm in width, and 2190mm in height, this ultra-wide Defender features front and rear wheel arches extended by 6 inches each, ensuring unrivalled road presence.

Beneath its bold exterior lies a comprehensively upgraded drivetrain, including enhanced suspension axles, half shafts, and running gear, delivering a driving experience far beyond the capabilities of the original Defender. The vehicle’s twin crosshair stainless steel exhaust system adds a rugged, purposeful character while underscoring its performance credentials.

Front GTB sport seats and a rear four-seater bench are upholstered in Portland Herringbone leather with quilting and perforation, while door panels, glove box, and instrument binnacle echo this premium finish. Thoughtful details include the Churchill time clock facia, billet steering wheel and gear sticks, vented machined aluminium pedals, heated front seats, and an interior nameplate celebrating British craftsmanship.
