Information about us, the service we provide, and how we earn commission
Chelsea Truck Company Ltd (company registration number 0496046), registered address 240 Canal Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD1 4SX, trading as Chelsea Truck Company, is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Chelsea Truck Company Ltd is a credit broker and not a lender. Our Financial Conduct Authority firm reference number is 788374.
The Financial Conduct Authority is the independent regulator of financial services and consumer credit firms in the United Kingdom.
Our service
We can introduce you to a limited number of lenders or hire companies who offer finance products. We do not offer advice or recommendations. You will need to make your own decision on whether a finance agreement is right for you.
We may also offer unregulated credit products from Klarna or PayPal. These products are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and you will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme in relation to them.
How we are paid
We do not charge you a fee for arranging finance.
We will receive a commission payment from the finance or hire provider if you decide to enter into an agreement with them. The commission is based on a percentage of the total amount of finance taken by the customer.
The lenders we work with consider that the commission earned reflects the work carried out by us as the broker. This includes advertising the finance option, coordinating with the lender to arrange financing, and handling administrative tasks such as completing proposals, processing orders, and managing delivery.
Commissions help cover these operational costs, allowing brokers to provide their services without direct fees to customers. This will not affect the amount you pay. We will disclose the amount of any commission received prior to you signing your credit agreement.
The commission we receive may vary depending on how you are introduced to us, which lender we place you with, and which finance product you choose.
Authorisation and regulated activity
Regulated consumer credit activities are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. You can check our authorisation on the Financial Services Register by visiting www.fca.org.uk.
