London Motorshow Edition Defender 90
Mar 24, 2020
In the year that Land Rover ceased production of their iconic Defender model, the London Motor Show commissioned the Chelsea Truck Company to create a one-off special edition Defender to celebrate the life of this most British of vehicles.
Designed by Afzal Kahn, the London Motor Show Edition benefited from an array of exterior enhancements including front and rear satin black wide wings with body coloured arches, a new front bumper and sump guard, and X-Lander front grille.
Inside, the Chelsea Truck Company teamed up with renowned British textile manufacturers, Hield, to create a unique fabric which was then hand stitched onto the GTB Sports Seats and utilised throughout the cabin to create a subtle yet striking driving environment.
On unveiling the vehicle at the London Motor Show, which was opened by HRH Prince Michael of Kent, Afzal Kahn said: "It is an honour to have been asked to celebrate what is probably the most famous and well-loved car in the world. I am deeply saddened to see production of the Defender come to an end, but I am pleased to have played a part in its history and proud to have produced a car for the best motor show in the world, just a short distance away from our flagship King's Road boutique".
