Land Rover Defender XS Station Wagon 2.2 TDCi Flying Huntsman 105 Long Nose

The Chelsea Truck Company has announced the release of a new coach built Land Rover Defender named the Flying Huntsman 105 Longnose.
The new Defender has an extra 400mm of bodywork inserted into the elongated chassis, just ahead of the windscreen, hence the 105 designation, referring to the longer wheelbase.
Built to tame even the most challenging terrain, this modern British icon is uniformly comfortable outrunning any road going 4x4.
With the 105 Longnose model, Afzal Kahn set out to create a fashionable and iconic vehicle which pays tribute to the original Defender.
“The Defender is probably the most iconic and well-loved British vehicle in existence,” said Afzal Kahn, CEO and creative director of the Kahn Group.
“Nowadays, it’s not what you wear, it’s all about what you drive, and the the Flying Huntsman 105 Longnose is a true British icon.”
The redesigned silhouette, complemented by Kahn Design’s renowned styling has produced a vehicle which is as striking as the original, and makes a definite and lasting statement.
The exterior of the vehicle is augmented with a wide arch body kit, fitted precisely to the vehicle with Kahn Design’s usual exceptional standards of craftsmanship.
The exterior is fitted with widened front and rear wings with integrated vents and bolt apertures, alongside an X-Lander front grille, front bumper replacement with bumper lights, LED Diamond Bright headlights, Flying Huntsman spare wheel cover and a fixed panoramic glass sunroof.
The Flying Huntsman 105 Longnose is both capable on-road and unstoppable off-road. It wears the Chelsea Truck Company’s exclusive 1945 Retro Alloy wheels (8x18”) finished in Matte Black with a gold stripe completed with 265x75x16” tyres.
In addition, the 2.2-litre TDCI engine drives a six-speed automatic gearbox operated by push-button controls. An upgraded braking and suspension system along with a signature stainless steel crosshair exhaust system completes the engineering overhaul.
Inside, front and rear GTB seats, passenger dashboard top and grab handles and rear passenger knee protectors have been expertly trimmed in sumptuous Almadine leather with 100 percent wool inserts.
A billet and leather steering wheel, Flying Huntsman time clock fascia insert, instrument binnacle in Nappa leather, custom centre console in Piano Black and cubby box in leather, rear side panels and A-pillars in leather and vented foot pedals in machined aluminium complete the interior package.
True to the Defender’s British heritage, the 105 Longnose has been produced entirely in the UK. This particular vehicle is available for £79,999.
