Kahn Design introduces the Eclipse Slimline Front Cowl for the INEOS Grenadier, a design-led front-end transformation that reinterprets the visual language of classic off-roaders through a modern, architectural lens. Developed as part of a wider Grenadier programme, the cowl is fully compatible with both factory and KAHN® upgrades, pairing seamlessly with elements such as the Dakar Carbon Grille while retaining a strong standalone identity.
The design centres on a refined reinterpretation of traditional off-road front-end proportions. Drawing subtle influence from early utilitarian icons, the Eclipse Slimline Front Cowl reshapes the Grenadier’s face by visually pulling the circular headlight graphic inwards, creating a stance that make the outer arches appear wider, whilst simultaneously taller and more composed. This is achieved through a distinctive use of inboard “eclipse” light forms, where the original headlights are partially obscured to create the illusion of secondary outer lamps. Outboard cutouts frame the primary headlights in a stacked arrangement, echoing the visual rhythm of classic Land Rover and Land Cruiser J40 indicator layouts while remaining purely design-focused. The result is a front end that feels both familiar and entirely new, balancing nostalgia with precision.
A central open grille section reinforces this horizontal composition, with its layout and proportions acting as a subtle continuation of Kahn’s established design language. The influence of earlier Kahn pieces, such as the X-Lander Grille for the Land Rover Classic Defender, can be seen in the controlled use of surface breaks and graphical framing, giving the cowl a sense of lineage without direct replication. Finished with a discreet Kahn UK badge sitting centrally, the design maintains a clean and confident presence.
Manufactured in ABS as part of a made-to-order programme and supplied ready for paint, the Eclipse Slimline Front Cowl offers a tailored approach to personalisation. Designed for straightforward installation with OEM-level fitment, it provides a focused visual upgrade for design-conscious Grenadier owners seeking a more considered and distinctive front end.
