CREATING A HIGHER STANDARD: CHELSEA TRUCK COMPANY MERCEDES-BENZ G63 AMG – HAMMER EDITION

British designer Afzal Kahn and his team have expanded their portfolio with the Chelsea Truck Company Mercedes Benz G63 AMG Hammer Edition, which made its debut at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show. The conversion begins with new front and rear bumpers that flow seamlessly into extended front and rear fenders, each featuring exposed bolt apertures and functional vents that give the vehicle a purposeful, utilitarian edge.

The transformation continues with a redesigned front grille that incorporates LED daytime running lights, a new rear roof spoiler, a luxury roof shield with integrated LED lights, retro G06 9.5 x 22 inch wheels finished in Diamond Cut Satin and a new exhaust system. These elements combine to give the G Class a more aggressive stance while still paying homage to the robust styling of the original model.

Inside, the Hammer Edition features a specially designed 3D modular leather interior for both the front and rear seats, offering a striking contrast to the rugged exterior lines. Hand stitched details, a bespoke roof lining and refined sun visors complete the cabin and introduce a layer of luxury to the iconic off road silhouette.

Afzal Kahn explained that the Chelsea Truck Company has built its reputation on reimagining iconic off road vehicles. The team has worked with the British Land Rover Defender and the American Jeep Wrangler, and the addition of a classic German design was a natural next step. He added that the feedback received on the new Mercedes Benz G63 AMG Hammer Edition has been overwhelmingly positive.
