The showstopper of the road takes centre stage as Kahn news takes this very welcome opportunity to review the Kahn Lamborghini Aventador.
Showcasing true motoring excellence, the Kahn Aventador boasts inspired design. And when you factor in its 690bhp, the traction afforded by the all-wheel drive and mid-engine configuration, the question that comes to mind is “What do owners actually seek from such a car?”
For starters: as a machine to distract other drivers from the road ahead, its powers are aplenty!
The Aventador is in a rather exclusive club of cars that will whoosh you to 62mph in less than three seconds – 2.9sec.
An attention seeking device first and a thoroughbred driving machine second – the Aventador’s couture is, to put it rather simply: luscious from every single angle.
Will we succumb to the charm of this machine?
Alterations to this vehicle are minimal to say the least, and this is certainly not an oversight on the part of Afzal Kahn and his team. In some cases refinement by means of a minimalist approach results in a happy medium between customisation, luxury and design.
First things first, Afzal Kahn’s decision to give the vehicle a Lamborghini Rosso Red is nothing short of astonishing, you only need to take a look at the vehicle itself to see why.
Although the Aventador is laden with state-of-the-art technology, it remains a very old school supercar, a machine powered by a powerful and classic V12 – words that would have applied no less accurately to the Countach at its first public showing more than 40 years ago.
The Aventador boasts an unquestionably intimidating shape and size, but thanks to the silky smooth power delivery, you will find one acclimatises rather quickly to this machine.
The gearbox is a robotised seven-speed manual with, the quickest shift ever to be achieved from such a configuration. Power flows through the gearbox to all four corners of the car in a ratio governed by a central haldex coupling. There’s an electronically controlled differential at the front and a mechanically locking item between the rear wheels.
Speaking of wheels - the car comes with the innovative 9 x 20” (front) & 13 x 21” Kahn Sant\' Agata wheels, finished in hyper or liquid silver. Kahn wheels sit perfectly on any vehicle, conveying the essence of the vehicle\'s identity. Created using state-of-the art manufacturing and materials technology, the 9 x 20” & 13 x 21\" Kahn Sant\' Agata wheels are finished in hyper or liquid silver and fit all original centre caps.
With simple clean lines, soft organic surfaces on the edge of the spoke and a purposeful mechanical centre, the Kahn Sant\' Agata wheels are synonymous with elegance and innovation.
The principal British designer’s ability to create bespoke interiors and accessories for a new world of super sports cars has been acknowledged worldwide.
And the inquisitive will be treated to a feast for their very eyes in the form of a very special Aventador interior. The arrangement of this most eye-catching yet complex interior certainly does not present one with any practical drawbacks.
Two front sculpted seats in nappa leather with white stitching will serve the driver well. Coupled with a quilted steering wheel with airbags, instrument surround and centre console in nappa leather; they will all be your friends during long trips. It will not take long to find a suitable driving position and, once you do, all the controls, from the paddles to the button, will be within your reach.
Another element that helps you concentrate on the driving is the pleasing level of front and side visibility.
One of the things that set A.Kahn Design apart from all the others is the ability to work with the customer to design and create a truly unique interior. The ability to put together a limitless palette of colors into the fabric, leather, trim pieces, and more, is something that makes your automobile special and uniquely yours.
The company philosophy is to always give the customer what they want, so Afzal Kahn could for example, design you a vehicle with a full colour change (to a colour of your choice) and an interior akin to, let’s say your favourite leather reclining chair in your living room. Customers could also change the colour of the clock, or indeed, ask for anything else.
If all this doesn’t tickle your fancy, it may well be worth letting Afzal Kahn work his magic on the vehicle and seeing what he comes up with. Whatever it is one thing you can guarantee is that it will be both stylish and of the high quality you would expect from Kahn Design.
If there is one car on the market that is begging to be bought by the most discerning Kahn customer and given a makeover by Afzal Kahn himself, it’s this one.
